Anita A. Daniels, MSW, LCSW, CFAE

  Ms. Anita A. Daniels is an administrator, a contributing writer for spiritual publications, Women of Color Devotional Bible; Wisdom and Grace Devotional Bible for Young Women of Color; and How We Got Over:  Testimonies of Faith, Hope, and Courage, and a licensed clinical social worker who combines spirituality with counseling.  She received the Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989 and the Bachelor of Social Work from East Carolina University in 1984.

 

  She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association of Forensic Counselors.  She was awarded the designation of Certified Forensic Addictions Examiner from the American College of Forensic Counselors in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She is authorized to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.  In addition to private practice, Ms. Daniels serves as Assistant Minister of Congregation Care and Counseling at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina.    

 

  For pleasure, she enjoys journaling, step-aerobics, listening to music, reading, spending time with family/friends (including her 12-year old Chihuahua, Frango), teaching the Women of the Word Sunday School class at Union Baptist, and serving on the Board of Directors for St. Joseph's Historic Foundation and Carter Community Charter School.
