While counseling is available to our disciples, we find that many individuals are well-suited for Stephen Ministry. Here are a few considerations that may suggest Stephen Ministry as a suitable option:

v            Mild to moderate mental health concerns

v           A crisis that primarily involves you, not family members

v           Desire for greater flexibility in appointments; Stephen Ministers often meet care receivers in the       community at mutually convenient times during the week or weekend.

Alternatively, the following circumstances may suggest that counseling is the prefeable option:

v            More intense mental health concerns

v           Marital or family issues
